Dermalize® SHIELD Ultrathin Absorbent Pads provide a soft, sterile barrier to protect freshly tattooed skin while efficiently absorbing fluid during the initial healing phase. Designed for large tattoos, blackout work, or clients with sensitive skin or acrylic glue sensitivities, these single-use pads offer effective, comfortable coverage.
Each pad features a deodorized polymer core and an embossed surface that helps prevent shifting during wear. The waterproof PE backing protects clothing and bedding, while the ultrathin cotton layer absorbs excess fluid. Pads are packed in a resealable pouch, available in two sizes to accommodate different coverage areas.
Dermalize® SHIELD is recommended for use during the first 24 to 48 hours after tattooing, when the skin actively releases fluid and ink residue. Once the area is dry, users should switch to a breathable tattoo film such as Dermalize® or Crystal Protective Tattoo Film to support continued healing.
Instructions for Use:
- Clean the tattooed area thoroughly and allow it to dry completely
- Apply a thin layer of organic tattoo butter
- Place the absorbent pad over the tattooed skin
- Secure the pad with skin-safe tape
- Replace the pad every few hours or as needed until the tattoo is dry
- Once dry, transition to your regular tattoo aftercare routine
